A veteran new media and videogames designer/programmer, Christian Chown started work at Ocean Software working on movie tie-in and original titles.

From there, he worked at Sony Computer Entertainment, conceiving and developing a sequel to the ground-breaking Lemmings series before founding his own videogames company where, among original titles, he worked on the X-Men 2 game Wolverine's Revenge.

Moving to New Media, he has developed award-winning projects for Quorn and Crusha Milkshakes and has worked for numerous Blue Chip companies such as Nestle, John West, Persimmon, Coca Cola and Mission Foods on internet-based and mobile phone technologies.

His primary interests are both in exploring touch as a medium and a human-computer interfacing mechanism and in large scale social gaming.

The purpose of these mini-labs is 

-Provide potential competitors with information about the competition, its scope and how to enter

-Stimulate debate about the impact of digital technology on society, politics, the economy, education, culture

-Inspire participants to generate ideas for subjects and topics to cover

-Give practical tips and advice on making, digitising and posting their films
