Participated in CROSSOVER SCIENCE

Steve Cross is UCL's first ever Public Engagement Co-ordinator, with the task of creating a new culture for the University, in which public relevance and openness are at the heart of everything we do. A major strand of this is developing new ways for researchers to communicate with people outside academia. I broker people, partners and projects to bring research and the public together.

Steve was originally a human geneticist, before jumping into science communication and interactive exhibit design at LIFE in Newcastle, exhibition curation for Wellcome Collection and the Science Museum, and online science engagement, for example as part of the dnai.org, wellcomecollection.org, yourgenome.org and routesgame.com teams.
